Rihanna has hinted she has a vault of 170+ unreleased songs, reigniting hope for her ninth studio album (R9). The tease came during a Fenty Beauty livestream, sparking excitement but also frustration among fans who want new music.

A Decade Without an Album

Her last album Anti dropped in 2016. Since then, singles and collabs have kept her visible, but no full project has arrived. Fans remain cautiously optimistic, though no title, release date or rollout has been confirmed.

More Than Music

Rihanna’s empire—Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty—keeps her culturally dominant. Livestreams blend product drops with cultural moments, showing her ability to stay relevant without new music.

Paris Fashion Week Moment

She also made headlines after EJ Johnson criticised her late arrival at Dior; Rihanna’s one‑word clapback went viral.

What Comes Next?

No album is confirmed, but Rihanna’s mention of her catalogue keeps the R9 conversation alive. A comeback project would be one of the most anticipated pop releases in years.
